We may monitor or record communications between users for safety and security purposes and to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
  • Technical Data: Includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this Service.
  • Usage Data: Includes information about how you use our Service, such as features used, searches, clicks, and pages visited.
  • Marketing and Communications Data: Includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data) unless you voluntarily provide it within your profile or communications, in which case we will treat it with the sensitivity it requires.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by adjusting your device settings or our app settings. Withdrawing consent will mean we cannot provide you with proximity-based matches.
  • Legitimate Interest: Means the interest of our business in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service/product and the best and most secure experience. We make sure we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before we process your personal data for our legitimate interests. We do not use your personal data for activities where our interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless we have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law).
  • Performance of Contract: Means processing your data where it is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract.
  • Comply with a legal obligation: Means processing your personal data where it is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation that we are subject to.

We will generally not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data, other than in relation to sending third-party direct marketing communications to you via email or text message, or for processing precise location data.   • For service improvement and analytics: To understand how our users use the Service and to improve its functionality.
  • For marketing (with your consent where required): To inform you about new features, promotions, or other services we think you might find interesting.

  • With Other Users:
    • When you use our matching service, certain information from your profile (e.g., your username, gaming interests, approximate location or distance from other users, and photos you upload) will be visible to potential matches.
    • Once you are matched with another user, you may be able to share additional information through in-app chat features. Be mindful of the information you share.
  • With Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work (e.g., cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, customer support tool providers). We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if we are legally required to do so in order to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process, such as in response to a court order or a subpoena (including in response to public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements).

Specific retention periods:

  • Account and Profile Data: We retain your profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile data will be deleted or anonymized in accordance with our data deletion processes, typically within 7 days, unless required to be kept for legal or safety reasons.
  • Precise Location Data for Matching: Precise location data (e.g., GPS) used for daily matching will be retained for a very short period, typically only for the duration necessary to suggest and facilitate the current day's match, unless specifically required for a safety investigation or legal purposes.
  • Communication Data: Messages between users may be retained for a longer period, particularly if linked to a safety report or investigation, but will otherwise be deleted or anonymized in line with account deletion or after a set period of inactivity (1 year).
  • Usage and Technical Data: This data may be retained in an aggregated and anonymized form for analytical purposes indefinitely. Personally identifiable technical data will be retained for a shorter period (1 year) for security and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Data related to Safety Incidents: If your data is involved in a safety incident report, we may retain it for as long as necessary to investigate and resolve the incident, and for legal or preventative purposes, which may be several years.

11. Your Data Protection Rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
